Oracle 3.0: Improved Race Generation Arrives
Introducing, Oracle 3.0!
The much-anticipated Oracle 3.0 update is here, and it's set to enhance race scheduling.
This newest iteration of Oracle will help ensure that even races with fewer entries still run and contribute to the game's racing ecosystem.
This latest version will be particularly beneficial for players with horses in smaller population groups, as it will help maintain consistent race availability and participation opportunities.
Understanding Oracle 3.0: What's New?
Oracle 3.0 builds on the improvements made in previous versions by introducing a more dynamic approach to race scheduling. Here's a breakdown of how the new system will operate:
- Race Fills at Least 4 Hours Early:
- When a race fills with more than 4 hours to spare, Oracle 3.0 automatically generates a new race that runs 10 minutes after the original.
- Additionally, if there's no similar race scheduled between 24 and 26 hours after the original race, a new one will be created to run precisely 24 hours later. This ensures a steady flow of similar races and helps provide continuous opportunities for players to compete.
- Race Fills with Less Than 4 Hours Left to Enter:
- If a race fills up but with less than 4 hours remaining before it starts, Oracle 3.0 will check for similar races between 24 and 26 hours after the original. If none exists, it will create a new race to run 24 hours later. This allows for a balanced and predictable race schedule, even when races fill close to their start time.
- Race Doesn't Fill but Still Runs:
- One of the most significant changes with Oracle 3.0 is its ability to generate new races even when a race doesn't fill to capacity but still proceeds. In this scenario, Oracle will look for similar races scheduled between 24 and 48 hours after the original. If none are found, it will create a new race 24 hours after the original. This feature is a major step forward in ensuring that all players, regardless of horse population size, have regular opportunities to race.
- Race is Cancelled:
- If a race is canceled, Oracle 3.0 takes a conservative approach and does not generate a new race. This helps avoid cluttering the schedule with races with insufficient interest.
How Oracle 3.0 Compares to Previous Versions
- Oracle 1.0: The original system duplicated races that filled up quickly, ensuring players had more chances to enter similar races.
- Oracle 2.0: Building on this, Oracle 2.0 duplicated races and ensured that if no similar race existed 24 hours after the original, a new race would be created to maintain consistency.
- Oracle 3.0: The latest iteration takes all these features and adds the crucial ability to generate duplicate races even if the original race doesn't fill to capacity but still runs. In these cases, Oracle 3.0 conducts a 48-hour check for similar races and creates a new one if none exists, further enhancing race availability.
The Impact of Oracle 3.0 on the Racing Ecosystem
Oracle 3.0's enhancements support a more inclusive and active racing community. By ensuring that races continue to be generated even when they don't fill to maximum capacity, the update addresses a critical need for players with horses in less populated groups.
This keeps the game engaging for all participants and encourages a more diverse range of horses to compete regularly.
With Oracle 3.0, the focus is on maintaining momentum within the game, ensuring that races are available when players need them. Whether you're competing in high-demand events or looking for a spot in a less crowded race, Oracle 3.0 ensures that the track is always ready.
