This is not just a regular race but an homage to the art and strategy of breeding, with each participant's lineage a key factor in determining their place in history.
Why We're Doing This
Breeding is more than a Photo Finish™ in-game mechanism —it's a core aspect of real-life horse racing. The Lineage Cup is designed to elevate the importance of strategic breeding and the legacy of champions.
By spotlighting bloodlines, every breeding decision you make can pave the way to future glory, emphasizing the long-term value of your stables, just as is the case with real-life racehorse ownership.
The Lineage Cup is the culmination of these ideas. We want to celebrate the strategy and foresight of players who have carefully planned their breeding programs to produce elite racers.
Each race in this event symbolizes a tribute to equine heritage, directly connecting past decisions and present success.
Event Details
The inaugural Lineage Cup will occur in Season 25 on the final Thursday of the season, becoming a cornerstone of our racing calendar.
The Races
Prepare for a royal purse that matches the prestige of this event:
- Premier Event: An open class with a massive 8,000 $CROWN per race across each of the four archetypes.
- Undercard Event: An allowance race for A- to SS- graded horses, boasting 2,500 $CROWN per race for each archetype.
This adds up to 42,000 $CROWN for the debut event, making it one of the richest prize pools to date.
While Season 25's payouts will be in $CROWN, future events may offer payouts in USD.
To ensure randomness, each race's weather and distance will be determined by a wheel spin or duck race during the previous season.
Who's Eligible to Race?
Age Requirements
This event is designed for the track's seasoned elite. Horses eligible to compete must be four years or older.
For Season 25, this means horses bred in Season 20 or prior. Now is the perfect time to start planning your breeding strategy to qualify your stable's best.
Premier Event Eligibility
Only the finest bloodlines will compete in the Premier Event. Horses eligible must have been bred from a stud on the public market at a list price of 24k $DERBY or higher. This ensures that only the most strategic and elite horses make it to the starting line.
Undercard Eligibility
For those horses bred from a stud on the public market at a list price between 8,000-23,999 $DERBY, the Undercard Event is your time to shine.
This offers an exciting opportunity for high-level horses just below the Premier class to showcase their strength and bloodline potential.
Note: In-house breeds meeting the list price requirement on the public market will count towards race eligibility.
Entry Based on L28 Earnings
To ensure that only the best of the best participate, entry will be determined by L28 earnings.
This highlights horses with a proven track record of success and performance over the long haul.
