Coming Soon: Stable Management Tools

Stable management tools are coming soon!

Stable Management Tools are set to revolutionize stable operations within the Photo Finish™ by introducing a groundbreaking way for current players to loan their prized horses directly to other players on their terms.

Following a player-tested beta phase and quality control testing to ensure its features do not significantly impact the marketplace economy, we're rolling this out as a private, stable management tool rather than a more broad, flood-the-marketplace lending program.

Below are the key points to know.

What is Stable Management?

Stable Management is more than a new tool; it's a transformative feature designed to empower veteran and new players alike.

The concept is simple yet impactful —loan horses privately between stables without needing a public market.

This feature creates a more strategic and controlled approach to horse management, making it easier for experienced players to coach newcomers and for large stables to optimize their resources.

Here's how it reshapes the game:

  • Private Horse Loans: Owners can loan horses directly to a selected stable without the hassle of dumping them into a crowded marketplace. This keeps quality horses in play and introduces new players to top-tier racers they might not otherwise access.
  • Enhanced Onboarding: This is perfect for bringing new players into the fold, especially those referred by current players. Stable Management allows experienced stables to mentor newcomers, providing them with the horses and guidance needed to succeed.
  • Resource Optimization for Large Stables: Large stables can manage their assets more effectively by loaning out horses they might not have the time or need to race themselves, ensuring that every horse has a chance to shine.
  • Facilitates Strategic Partnerships: From “womb sharing” to complex breeding agreements, Stable Management is the ultimate tool for creating custom arrangements within the game.

How It Works

Using Stable Management is as intuitive as it is powerful. We've made the UI simple yet packed with options.

Here's a quick guide to getting started:

  1. Loaning Your Horse: Click on any horse's page and select “Loan Horse.” Enter the stable ID of the borrower, adjust permissions (racing, retirement, selling, breeding), and set terms like Derby and $CROWN percentages.
  2. Adjusting Permissions: Tailor what the borrower can do with your horse. Will they be allowed to breed or retire it? Can they sell it? The power is in your hands to decide.
  3. Setting Profit Sharing: Customize how Derby and $CROWN rewards are split between the owner and the borrower, with recommended settings to help newcomers optimize their chances of turning a profit.
  4. Accepting a Loan: Borrowers can review loan terms via their in-game inbox and agree to them by clicking “Accept Private Loan.” Horses will appear in both stables, clearly marked as on loan, with all terms visible.

Why It Matters

Stable Management is poised to reshape the Photo Finish™ LIVE ecosystem to benefit everyone. Here's why this feature is a game-changer:

  • More Horses on the Tracks: Stables can ensure higher participation rates by keeping horses actively racing, leading to increased entry fees and more competitive races.
  • Boosts Track Owner Revenue: With more horses running, the pot grows larger, and track owners who staked $CROWN will reap even greater rewards at the end of each season.
  • New Opportunities for Newcomers: Stable Management is the ultimate welcome mat for new players, giving them access to better horses and more engaging gameplay without the steep learning curve.
  • Build Massive DAOs: Create large, structured stables or DAOs within the game to maximize resources and racing opportunities. Stable Management allows for strategic partnerships and collective success on an unprecedented scale.

We'll have much more to come regarding the release of Stable Management tools. Until then, prepare your stablehands and get all your horses in a row — stable management is about to become a much bigger horse business.
